Nice durable mower that helps me perform yard duties again. Speed is perfect. Easy to assemble and getting on and off wi

Bought this as I have a disability that has restricted the use of right foot so using old mower was very painful. This mower is a game changer and love it. Speed is perfect and handling my yard with lots of slopes is no issue. Just a great all around mower

This is a nice mower but it doesn't cut as good as my ARIENS

This is a nice mower but it doesn't cut as good as my ARIENS IKON did. The blades don't seem sharp enough. Leaving clumps of grass in the yard. Hmm

Perfect start to finish.

This Cub Cadet Z2 42”mower is great! The Home Depot store manager “Dan” sold the mower to me directly and was really great to work with. The mower was brand new still on the factory pallet. Dan came outside with 3 of his staff, uncrated, and loaded the new mower into my trailer. Took me roughly 10 minutes at home to install the seat and control levers. Added the gas Dan gave me free of charge and fired the Kawasaki motor up. Great mower, great cut and great service from Dan and his team at Valrico Florida HD.

A monster of a mower. Love It!

Picked up my first Zero turn today 7/15/26, the Ultima Z2 50. After I got it home, I put some gas in it and drove to the upper part of property to test it out. This mower has a lot of power and handled going up the hill without an issue. After getting to the top I tested the driving and steering. The mower is very sensitive so you have to be careful and take the 180 turn very slow or else you'll rip up the turf. After going back and forth a few times to get used to how it handles, I decided to give the yard a cut. A job that usually takes me over an hour to complete with my 42 inch mower, took me thirty minutes. I'm going to take it back out again tomorrow and see how it handles around obstacles like trees, fences and the shed. I purchased it at Home Depot in Midlothian and the guy who helped me, Jack, was very helpful and informative. Thank you Jack for your guidance in picking this beast.

Good mower

First mow tonight on my new Z2 54 R. The front axle was a little too tight so the spring relief wasn’t free. Easy fix, great power and good mowing speed.

Good luck with maintenance, small made for someone 5ft tall

This thing sucks. This is my 3rd cub cadet. I had an xt1 tractor that still works 700hrs Ive had to fix just about everything and the mower deck fell apart long ago. I had a ztx4. Awesome machine. Sold it with our last house. I just got this mower the z3 60. It's trash. 13hrs in the blades are already dead, I think one of the spindles is broken. Good luck changing the blades it's an absolute nightmare to get the deck off and back on. Current situation the oil filter won't come off it's completely mangled. Obviously they put this thing on with torque tool not hand tightened it won't come off for anything. I used an oil filter wrench, I use the belt, I use a screwdriver it won't come off. Absolutely the worst placement. You can't get to it. The oil drain location is completely worthless you have to hook a hose on it and try and feed it through a hole otherwise it just leaks all over the frame the hose they provide is too short to actually reach your oil pan on the floor. 13hrs in this thing is junk. Don't buy spend the extra money on the ztx4. This thing is just cheaply made and super small. My daughter who is 5'2 says it's perfect for her with the seat all the way back. I'm 6ft the last seat placement should be the 1st you leg is all cramped up pushing the pedal.

Deck adjustment broke after 2 months - terrible customer service.

Cub Cadets customer service has been woefully disappointing. What should be a straightforward fix and service has turned into a waiting game and dealing with unresponsive CS reps. The front leveling adjustment for the deck came loose and dropped while I was mowing. I've had the mower for 2 months and have not touched this nut - nor should I feel I need to check this on the part of the mfg process. Anyways, I tried calling CS and it turned into them pushing me to contact a local repair service -- mind you - they made me contact the repair service companies, not them. From there I'm looking at 2-3 weeks before I can get someone out here and some incurred costs from needing someone to pick up the unit (which cub cadet apparently does not cover under warranty). All of this would have been more straight forward if there troubleshooting reps would have reviewed the pictures I sent and identified I needed new bolts -- and then shipped me them. Instead I ended up buying the needed parts from a secondary company. Ridiculous it's this complicated and difficult -- do not think I will be continuing my business with cub cadet for future purchases.

First and last cub cadet

First and last cub cadet I will ever buy. I don't know where these are made, but I swear it must be china. I bought my zt1 42 at the end of last season. Cut the grass once. Kept the mower in the garage over winter. Second time cutting the grass in 2026 the drive belt tensioner spring busted. Went to the local lawn mower place for the part. They said they didn't have it but I better buy 2 or 3 because they are a known failure item on cub cadet. Then, lady week, the drive belt came off. Didn't break, just came off. To put it back on I had to remove the tensioner fully but got it on. Then it wouldn't start! I got it on the charger now. This thing had not cut the grass more than 7 times. Its still new! Nothing but problems with this thing. In junking it and getting a Toro.

regretted purchase

But there’s a couple months ago. Multiple issues have occurred since owning this, including the battery cable coming loose. The second time I tried to use it a tire that won’t stay on, so I had to take it to a tire shop to get fixed, and worst of all the mower deck doesn’t allow enough room for grass clippings to come out from under so the more chokes itself and dies. From, loved to despised in two months time.

Great customer service

I just purchased this lawnmower 4 days ago. Home Depot delivered it but it wouldn’t start. On closer inspection we discovered that it was a used lawnmower. The store manager brought out a zero hour replacement within an hour. He went above and beyond to make me happy. I also gave me a cash discount for my troubles. The lawnmower works flawlessly. I am a very satisfied customer.
